In this design, the unique characteristics of the arid area prompt a reevaluation of the community planning approach. While the traditional square grid is efficient, it presents challenges such as wind-blown sand erosion, privacy concerns, and limited courtyard expansibility. Thus, our design endeavors to transform the urban grid into a hexagonal network that seamlessly interconnects. This network allows for flexible adjustments in density and terrain size, ensuring the creation of enclosed spaces throughout the entire courtyard to maximize protection against wind and sand.

Adhering to the different compositions of local families, we implement a development strategy encompassing levels 1, 2, and 3. For smaller family populations, a single hexagonal land suffices for residence and life. As the family expands, this hexagonal land can be extended to adjacent plots, allowing the integration of up to three parcels to form a diverse enclosed courtyard. The floor plan prototype offers various permutations to cater to different household needs.
